Anne is a German ExPat with family roots as farmers in Haaren, Kreis Paderborn and coal miners in Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Harz. Born and raised in the Old World, she now raises Donald’s and her children in the New World.
Educated in the German school and university system, Anne holds degrees in German, English, Education, Philosophy and Drama. To offset the overload of cognitive input, she also pursued martial arts and was awarded a 1. Dan in Jiu-Jitsu. Languages have always been her passion, hence it shouldn’t come as a surprise that she holds J.R.R. Tolkien and his subcreation in high esteem. These days, she spends her time taking care of the family including pets, home-schooling the children, tending the garden, processing the harvest, reading, playing the flute, researching the family history, and enjoying the quiet of rural life.
As you might have noticed if you stop by more or less regularly, she also enjoys taking pictures, primarily macros or close-ups:
